The British came to trade, stayed to conquer our country and rule for two centuries (1757-1957). They united India, gave a lingua franca, modern law and order, build railways et al. Yet we rightly treated them as foreigners, changed street names, altered city names. The Mughals invaded India, butchered Indians or converted them. Thereafter, they creamed off the economy to enjoy luxuries to buy jewels and to build mausoleums. Like the British, they also had white complexions But we never considered them foreigners either during or after their rule ended (1526-1857). WHY? In the middle of Delhi, there still survive Babur Road, Humayun Road, Akbar Road, Aurangzeb Road, not to speak of Jehangirpuri and Shajananabad. No Muslim city names have been changed despite demands like Karanavati for Ahmedabad or Prayag for Allahbad.
In 1947 was elevated to power Jawaharlal Nehru who was equally white complexioned. Sardar Patel called him the only nationalist Muslim who inaugurated the Indo-Mughal epoch which flourishes to this day. Manmohan Singh has remained faithful to Nehruvian policy by declaring Muslims First. Is he homesick and does he want to go back to his place of birth, namely Gah village, Pakistan. Before he returns to Gah, he has laid the foundations of Mughalistan by introducing reservations for Muslims which were first demanded by Sir Aga Khan and 35 friends in 1906.
